Even though we haven’t been directly involved in the recycling and re-use of carpet tiles since late 2023, we care very much that they avoid being dumped into landfill where possible.

Every year, millions of carpet tiles are removed from offices and public spaces across the UK and carpet tiles are renowned for their bulk and weight, making disposal difficult and expensive.
The waste hierarchy is a simple and well-trodden principle for effective waste management with elimination at source the most preferred option, followed by minimisation, re-use, recycling, incineration and lastly disposal to landfill.
In the past, the only way to get rid of carpet tiles was to put them in a skip and condemn them to landfill. Nowadays, more and more companies are finding ways to avoid this happening, not only by cleaning and grading the tiles in readiness for a second life, but to find totally new ways to utilise them.
Carpet tiles are very versatile, over the years we have supplied them for many different uses such as; sound insulation on walls, providing safe ponds for protected amphibians on construction sites, mats for children to sit on during an outside charity ‘singathon’ and for roofs in Africa, to name just a few.
